Atlas Copco, shot on Sony F65
Yesterday they released the corporate film for Atlas Copco that I shot on Sony F65.
I´m very happy with the result. The skin tones looks really great and the camera is full of rich colours. One thing I will bring from this project is that because of the very sharp picture the F65 gives you, I will do some test´s with Tiffens HDTV/FX filters to get a little bit softer image.
We shot most of the film in 1080p, but we also tried F65RAW-Lite mode, which gives you 16-bit Linear colorspace, 6:1 compression and a 4K resolution. I recommend to shoot this way, because the file size between RAW and SR isn’t that big of a difference. But If you want to go hardcore you could set the camera to F65RAW-SQ mode. That will make a big difference in file size. That mode is great if you have a VFX-heavy production, otherwise the F65RAW-Lite is more than enough.
But I must say that I´m looking forward until next time I will be able shoot with the F65. I will Probably will do some test in the near future and post them here as soon as i can.
All the best!
