Cinematographer, Andrés Rignell, fsf, had a busy 2009, finishing two feature films: Psalm 21, a psychological thriller, and Kommissarie Späck, a parody of Beck, a crime drama, which has reaped great success on the North European market. Both films are scheduled for release in 2010.

Rignell’s portfolio also includes commercials, trailers and music videos in various genres. Shooting commercials for multi-national brands like Ericsson, Volvo, Bosch, Nokia and Samsung, has taken him all over Europe, the Middle East and the U.S. His cinematography skills have kept him busy shooting trailers for all major Swedish TV networks. And, with more than 80 music videos under his belt, he has worked with artists such as Haddaway, Dr. Alban, Michaela de la Cour, Eskobar, Sofia Talvik, Eric Gadd, Hammerfall and Darin.

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Rignell started his film career 10 years ago and graduated from Stockholms Filmskola, in 2000.

As an 11-year-old, Rignell dreamed of shooting feature films. At 30, his dream remains the same, but he has now traded his Hi-8 video camera for film- and HD cameras.
